On the stats thing i actually think its a good idea. EA have done it for years and i was actually one of many aston villa editors back in 09
I applied and had to take an unknown player and a well known, stat them up and show how and why i gave them those stats and what sources i used. I remember the unknowm player being rodrigo possebon haha!
No idea how i got given villa but i knw they had plenty of people doing the same teams to avoid anomolous stats and bias. We had to check sock tape any everything else accessory wise.
Customer provided content is ideal in terms of cost and often quality as its provided by passionate people. There are obviously pitfalls too.
That's pretty cool!
I think customer created content is the way to go for football games... A fully customisable experience however, I don't think we'll see it unless a new competitor comes into the market... I'm half tempted to try and start it up myself maybe a crowdfund or something

I'm sure there would be a lot of interest. What is needed for a football game in my opinion is a company to create a good gameplay base with realistic looking players, stats, animations and ball physics but then almost leave the rest of the game blank. No kits, boots, balls, stadiums, adboards. But let all of those things be created, downloaded and implemented into your game within a matter of seconds. Takes out the need for the company to waste time on that kind of content and builds a creative and thriving community.
As for Konami llike I said it's like they've finally cottoned on to getting passionate community members to help them with the games content but they're implementing it wrong. If you're going to let customers create player stats and faces then why not let us create stadiums, boots, kits etc. And share them via a storefront or creation centre type thing.
Also, me and my mate were speaking earlier and we are 100% Konami will release PES 4/5/6 PS2 games on the PS4. I still play those games so it would be handy to be able to load it up on the PS4 instead of PS2 however, I can't bear to give Konami £7.99 for it.
That kind of brought us onto another subject...
Would anyone like to see a football game with PES 6 gameplay but with modern day graphics? I think that would be an interesting concept and something that could work. It seems like PES 2016 is neither a fun arcade game with aspects of simulation nor a full on simulation game... It's kinda stuck in between.
